Initial assessment: consists of a 1 hour appointment, when a detailed history and physical examination is carried out, followed by a 2 week period of home recordings of bladder, bowel and dietary habits, upon which treatment recommendations are made.
Follow up depends on the child's problem and the progress of treatment.
Therapies include:
Dietary modification
Toilet timing
Behaviour modification programs
Bedwetting alarms
Medication
Referal to other specialist physiotherapist or psychologist if required
No referral is necessary. Patients are bulk billed through Medicare and there is a $20 gap fee + $5 dollars if you receive a folder. Health care card holders are bulk billed.
